Old Fashioned de Ron Salgado

An elegant variation of the classic.

🍸 Ingredients

  • 🥃 60 ml of EL GALANTE SALGADO rum
  • 🍬 1 sugar cube or 🍯 1 teaspoon of simple syrup
  • 🍂 2–3 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • 🍊 Orange peel (for expressing and garnish)
  • 🧊 Large ice cube or 🧊 ice sphere

🥃 Cocktail Preparation

1️⃣ In an old fashioned glass 🥃, place the sugar cube 🍬 (or simple syrup 🍯) and the bitters 🍂.

2️⃣ Add a splash of water 💧 (if using a sugar cube) and gently muddle 🥄 until the sugar is dissolved.

3️⃣ Add the EL GALANTE SALGADO rum 🥃 and a large or spherical ice cube 🧊.

4️⃣ Stir gently with a bar spoon 🌀 for about 20–30 seconds ⏱️.

5️⃣ Express the orange peel 🍊 over the cocktail to release its oils ✨ and drop it into the glass as a garnish 🎨.
